ما هو المضارع المستمر؟
المضارع المستمر (Present Continuous) هو زمن نستخدمه للتحدث عن حدث يحدث الآن أثناء الكلام، أو عن حدث مؤقت، أو عن خطة مستقبلية قريبة.
ويعد من أكثر الأزمنة استخدامًا في المحادثة اليومية، كما يظهر كثيرًا في أسئلة القواعد في اختبار STEP.
متى نستخدم Present Continuous؟
1. حدث يحدث الآن
أي شيء يحدث في هذه اللحظة.
Examples
I am studying English now.
She is talking on the phone.
They are playing football.
2. حدث مؤقت
شيء يحدث لفترة قصيرة وليس عادة دائمة.
Examples
He is living in Riyadh for a few months.
We are staying at a hotel this week.
3. ترتيب أو خطة مستقبلية
نستخدم المضارع المستمر للتحدث عن موعد أو خطة مؤكدة.
Examples
I am meeting my teacher tomorrow.
She is traveling next Friday.
صيغة المضارع المستمر
Subject + am / is / are + Verb + ing
مع I
I am studying.
مع He / She / It
He is working.
She is cooking.
It is raining.
مع You / We / They
You are reading.
We are watching TV.
They are playing football.
كيف نضيف ing؟
في أغلب الأفعال نضيف ing مباشرة.
play → playing
read → reading
watch → watching
إذا انتهى الفعل بحرف (e) نحذف e ثم نضيف ing.
write → writing
make → making
come → coming
إذا انتهى الفعل بحرف ساكن واحد ويسبقه حرف متحرك واحد، نضاعف الحرف الأخير.
run → running
sit → sitting
swim → swimming
