ما هو Past Simple؟

يُستخدم Past Simple (الماضي البسيط) للتحدث عن حدث بدأ وانتهى في الماضي. ويُعد من أكثر الأزمنة استخدامًا في اللغة الإنجليزية، كما يظهر كثيرًا في اختبار STEP في قسم القواعد وقراءة النصوص.

إذا كان الفعل انتهى في وقت محدد في الماضي، فإن الزمن المناسب غالبًا هو Past Simple.

متى نستخدم Past Simple؟

1. حدث وقع وانتهى في الماضي

شرح الإجابات

1. went

وجود كلمة yesterday يدل على أن الحدث انتهى في الماضي، لذا نستخدم التصريف الثاني.

2. had

Have في الماضي تصبح had، ووجود last night يؤكد استخدام الماضي البسيط.

3. finished

الفعل انتهى في الماضي، لذا نستخدم التصريف الثاني.

4. Did

جميع أسئلة الماضي البسيط تبدأ بـ Did، ويعود الفعل بعدها إلى التصريف الأول.

5. didn't go

بعد didn't نستخدم الفعل في صورته الأساسية go وليس went.

6. bought

الفعل buy غير منتظم، وتصريفه الثاني bought.

7. met

وجود two days ago يدل على الماضي البسيط.

8. took

الفعل take تصريفه الثاني took.

9. ate

وجود وقت محدد (7:00 this morning) يدل على حدث انتهى.

10. arrived

وجود yesterday يدل على الماضي البسيط.

11. Did

السؤال في الماضي البسيط يبدأ بـ Did.

12. cried

الفعل انتهى في الماضي، لذا نستخدم التصريف الثاني.

13. traveled

عبارة last summer تدل على زمن ماضٍ محدد.

14. lost

الفعل lose تصريفه الثاني lost.

15. visited

الفعل حدث أثناء الرحلة وانتهى، لذا نستخدم الماضي البسيط.
